Treasure Venture is a text adventure game, which means it's interacted with through written commands, and only displays written text. There is no graphical element.
Treasure Venture understands several commands, can save the ongoing game, and has events. An example of event is to have the doors lock up behind the player when they cross the mansion's threshold for the first time. It also contains a mini-game entitled Twenty Squares, that I leave you to discover as well as the game itself.

Couldn't open it for whatever reason
If it’s on Windows, it may have been blocked by the security system. It happens when a piece of software is coded without an engine, as then the dev needs to buy a license or something to tell the system that the soft is legit. Spending money for Treasure Venture is not worth it for me.
I am on Mac, but I see. I didn't open it to see if it's even a good game yet, so there is that. Thanks for throwing some light onto this issue though.
Oh I see, damn. Thank you for warning me. I have Windows and Linux but not Mac so I couldn’t test it. I’ll see what’s up with that someday.
